I found this on my son's friend Rebecca's blog. It's almost like magic!! Surprised lol

It's easy - just copy the questions, set your music player (Windows Media Player, iTunes, MP3, etc) to "shuffle," then hit the "next" button to get the song titles that are the answers to the questions. You have to write each one down in order - no skipping or cheating!

I've been feeling crummy lately, ADD + CFIDS = much fail Cry so it was good to find something fun 'n' eezy to do that gave me a smile. Work on the website very much depends on if I can scrape together a few shreds of brain cells and coherent thought long enough to actually concentrate on writing or coding for more than two minutes at a time.

You know how I'm always saying that I didn't have a chance to update the website/read your fic/return your e-mail/etc etc because I was "busy" cleaning house, taking care of kids, paying attention to husband/preparing Sunday School lesson/being sick/etc etc etc?

Bald-faced lies, all of it. The truth is that I spend every waking hour (and many hours when I should be sleeping) looking at funny pictures of cats with amusingly misspelled captions.

 I'm so ashamed.

Not really Tongue out

I just put a bunch of laundry from the washer into the dryer, and there in the bottom of the washing machine was a dead scorpion. Surprised Not just any scorpion, but one of the little, tan, EXTREMELY POISONOUS* bark scorpions. It was all dead and drowned and limp and everything, but still... yeesh!!! heart attack time. The really creepy thing is, it had been hiding in the kids' laundry! and I was just handling that laundry Yell I used the fork we use to stir the coals in the grill to lift it up and drop it into our official Nasty Bug Catching Cup, but still, just touching it with a three-foot-long piece of wood and metal gave me the creeps. Icky icky icky. It's still sitting there in the cup in the bottom of the washing machine, waiting for me to work up the intestinal fortitude to dump it outside or flush it down the toilet. But first I had to come do some blog therapy. Gack, that was nasty.

Okay, I've got to go dump it now because I've got two more loads of laundry to do today.

*Usually not deadly to healthy children and adults; my parents live in the scorpion capital of Arizona and have each been stung several times. Extremely EXTREMELY painful for a few days. But if you're very young or very old or have a compromised immune system, it can kill you.

Peter's Evil Overlord List

These are great. Absolutely essential if you want to take over the world. (For some reason, a lot of them remind me of Darth Vader.)

Right after I re-discovered this site, I saw an article in the Wall Street Journal (yes I read the WSJ) about a new position that a lot of companies are putting in, called the Strategic Execution Officer. O_o Definitely something that every evil overlord should have. (Actually it's someone who's supposed to oversee all the IT functions and departments. But really, it sounds a lot more dire than that. Like, layoffs aren't good enough any more?)

While on this site, make sure you look around and find the series of fanfics about how many Star Trek crew members it takes to change a lightbulb.

"Boomertowne.com - the destination for a generation"

WOULD YOU ALL JUST GET OVER YOURSELVES ALREADY?!?

I suppose that since I was born in 1962 that technically makes me a baby boomer too, but the reality is that I don't want anything to do with it. Self-centered, self-indulgent, navel-gazing brats. Bleh.

Trying to do too much

I don't know why I try juggling three all-consuming hobbies all at once. Scrapbooking (including photography and photo management), anime (which also incorporates writing fanfiction and running my website), and writing (also involving running a website) would each be a lot on their own. Sometimes I get completely wrapped up in one and forget about the others, but then I feel bad for letting them lapse and I also miss doing them. And that's on top of running the household, looking after the kids, occasionally paying attention to my husband, doing my church assignments, and communicating with the rest of my family often enough so they won't start thinking I don't like them any more.

But I decided yesterday I should be able to do a little bit of everything. My kids are big so they don't need me to do everything for them and watch them all the time, and the house doesn't require more than a few hours a day. So I decided to do a scrapbook layout a day (keep it simple, don't sweat over making it look like it should go in a magazine) and 2, 3, 4 pages of writing. Did it yesterday, no problem, but today I've just been piddling around. Everytime I go on the computer I end up just messing around instead of writing. Like right now, for instance.

I want to get a chapter ahead of what I'm posting on my fanfics - almost there, about half of one chapter to go, then I can start posting again. All I have to do is make myself do it. with the scrapbooking, my main goal is to just start using up all STUFF I've bought. (Shopping for scrapbook supplies is almost a hobby unto itself.) I've got more patterned paper than I can possibly use in my lifetime. I used up a whole sheet yesterday and the equivalent of a whole sheet today. So what do I go and do? Buy another paper stack today! AFter I just bought a paper stack and a KI Memories Value Kit two days ago! Sheesh. I look at all that stuff and feel bloated. But it's all so pretty. **^__^**

All right, I am going to buckle down now and get some stuff done. Write some more Starfire, maybe some more Promise Kept, maybe start editing chap. 3 of Rains of Urdaisunia. And finish the page I started.

Rule of thumb for anime couples: If you can't make an AMV of them, then they aren't an official couple. Not to say that every two characters that you can make an AMV of *are* a couple, but if you can't scrape together enough footage of the two of them together to make a 3-minute video, then they don't really exist as a couple. Which of course COMPLETELY rules out both N/J pairings. (Neffy/Jeddy and Nephrite/Jupiter - even considering the manga you'd get NOTHING for the first, and one measly non-storyline drawing for the latter. So there.)
