Curse those 50% coupons!

I did it again. I have more paper than I can possibly ever use, I've already bought two more paper holders AFTER I vowed not to buy any more and just use the paper I already had, and I already bought a bunch of new paper this week. But Joann was having 50% coupons this week, and I had an e-mail one I hadn't used. So I used it to buy the DCWV Far East paper stack. I've wanted it ever since I first saw it, then for a long time I couldn't find it and thought maybe they stopped making it, then I told myself there was no point in buying it because what would I use it for anyway?

But it's so ***pretty*** *__*

There's a challenge in the July CK to fill an entire background with journaling about a life-changing moment. Most of my life-changing moments are actually long-term evolutions or gradual realizations. But there is one specific moment (well, more than a moment, more like about 20 minutes) that really was life-changing for me. That was when I first saw the Sailor Moon episode where Nephrite dies. I'd seen parts of their story, and now that I had the chance to watch the series straight through I was eager to find out what happened. When he died I just cried and cried and thought it was so unfair. It just happened that I taped that episode, so I watched it over and over again late that night, and cried and cried and cried. After that, I was spurred to get on the Internet to see if I could find out any more about them, which was when I was introduced to online fandom. Which led to writing fanfiction in which Nephrite and Naru (Nephlite and Molly to me, at the time) could get the happy ending I so badly wanted them to have and so that their story wouldn't be forgotten amidst all the DK yaoi that was out there. This led to me starting my website, and being introduced to more anime, and deciding to start a second website for my original fiction. So many things that I enjoy so much that started just because of that one episode of a TV show.

Anyway, that's a story that I'd like to record in my scrapbooks, and paper from the Far East stack would be appropriate for that, I think. (Yes, I'm rationalizing my purchase. Besides, I couldn't waste a 50% coupon, could I?)

It would also be fun to make an ongoing album of the different anime I watch, make a page about each series with a brief description, what I like about it, and some printed-out screen shots. Of course Asian-design paper would be great for that too.

And of course, if Jesse were to go on a mission to Japan, I'd be all set. ^_^ Completely hypothdtical, of course. He isn't even sure he wants to go on a mission (though living away from home for a year might help his decide that it's something he can do) and even if he does decide to go there's no way to know where he's going to end up going, even given that he's already studied Japanese for two years. But it would be cool if that happened.

Oh, and I also bought another paper holder to put all my new paper in. *sweatdrop*
